Why do some American students go the Caribbean to get their degrees to become doctors?
Can you answer S's question about Caribbean Vacations?:
For example, they have been going to college in the U.S for some time(wasting time), then suddenly they decide to go the Caribbean to become a doctor. But why can't they just get their degrees from the U.S? Is it easier to obtain their? Cheaper? Is the studies easier?

Medical school admissions in the United States are extremely competitive; it's possible to study hard and get decent grades as an undergraduate, but still not get accepted anywhere.
At that point, students who are really committed to becoming doctors often apply to schools in Canada, the Caribbean, or Latin America. Admissions are easier and tuition is lower. They can take the American medical board examinations after they graduate and then practice in the United States.
Admission standards are lower, tuition is lower, class sizes are smaller, great beaches, wonderful environment, ect. What more can you ask for? It's not just the Caribbean, it's also Canada and Mexico to - much much much cheaper and oh so much easier to get into! Plus the quality of education is comparable. HOWEVER if you attend, be prepared to be tested and certified before you can practice in the US.
it is easier and cheaper and faster
