What is the best caribbean destination for a young couple looking for snorkeling & a great beach?

Can you answer fletchlmjmu's question about Caribbean Vacations?:

We are looking for a great resort on a great island in the caribbean, all inclusive or not, for GREAT snorkeling, a great beach and relaxation. We are a young couple in our late 20's early 30's.

I've been to Bavaro Beach (Dominican Republic). It was pretty cool. Endless beaches and good snorkeling.
They also have a disco and fun things to do with your couple (contests and such).

There are many reasons why Barbados would be the ideal spot for your holiday get-a-way.

On the island you will find a rich culture, top class golf, tennis, rugby, hockey and plenty of water sports.

Along with this you'll find a beautiful island, world class resorts, friendly people, an idyllic tropical climate and delightful Caribbean cuisine.

Bavaro Beach and Punta Cana are filled with loud, obnoxious drunken people. Skip it, even if the price is killer. Almost any other place would be better than these two options (even Nassau). Try the US Virgin Islands. Great snorkeling and diving almost anywhere around St. Thomas.

If you are looking for an all inclusive resort, Club Med and Sandals for Couples are also good.

Becareful not to plan your trip between June 1st and November 20th - it's Hurricane Season (although it will be cheaper and you might get lucky).

Best of Luck!

If you aren't looking for a party - Grand Cayman can't be beat. I don't know how recovered from the hurricanes they are, but the sand is beautiful, the water clear and warm (they have stringent pollution laws), and it's peaceful and quiet.

Besides, Grand Cayman, you could also consider Barbados or Aruba.

The island Curacao, not only are hotels cheap and good, the beaches are beautifull and there are courses you can take for profssional diving, horsebackriding, parasailing. But the sealife is just wonderfull!! And there are a lot of restaurants and discos you can go to.
