The Ambos Mundos is one of the most significant hotels in Havana and besides its intimacy; businessmen can talk, look into their accounts or the future of an enterprise or present a new product, something ever more frequent in Havana in the recent years.

Old Havana hotels are considered by many as the most charming hotels in Cuba. Having superior accommodation facilities, plenty of intimacy, beauty, and first-class services, these hotels have charmed each and every traveller that ever stayed on their premises.

Among those fascinating hotels, it is worth mentioning the four-stars Hotel Florida, one of Havana's most historic places for been one of the first hotels ever built in San Cristobal de la Habana (full name of the Cuban capital) in the Nineteenth Century.

Hotel Florida has 25 rooms. Four of them are suites, while the other 21 are standard rooms. The place exudes comfort through and through. The Bodeguita del Medio bar is not far away and visitors can find transport easily in the form of horse-drawn carriages which are parked outside the hotel.

This hotel opened to the public in 1899 and since that very moment, it has drawn the attention of travellers who enjoy stopping by and admiring its grand architecture style. Its roomy court yard is very cosy and invites you to seat and relax while sipping one of Havana's most famous cocktails 'El Mojito'.

According to some sources, it is believed that this hotel was built in 1836 and it was the residence of remarkable businessmen of that time. Among them, it can be mentioned the count of San Ignacio as well as the wealthy and paramount Spanish count Jose Eugenio Mor.

This Hotel-palace first became lodge in 1885 under the aegis of Don Jose Dobano who adopted the comfort of the US and European hotels of that time. After Castro?s Revolution the building suffered major transformations and it was only in the late 90?s that this hotel was refurbished into its current grand architecture.
