Hotels In Havana - Ambos Mundos
The eclectic styled Hotel Ambos Mundos opened its doors in the late 1920's and since then has become an intimate and cosy landmark that stands out amongst all Havana Hotels due to its history. In the early 1930's, the American writer, Ernest Hemingway, dwelled in the room 511 in this hotel, he wrote the first draft of For whom the bell tolls since he found the hotel "a good place to write".
The four-star hotel has 52 rooms (six floors) including 3 are mini-suites. This hotel from the Cuban capital city is managed by Habaguanex Company S.A., responsible for the historic-cultural tourism in the Old Town.
One of the best features of this hotel is the Del Monte Saloon. This spacious place can be divided, according to necessities, into two acoustically independent rooms. Its all-round characteristic is easy to see with the use of its own furnishings for banquettes, business meetings or plenary sessions.
This two saloons are completed with a menu buffet, coffee-break, gala dinners, according to the requests and appropriate prices. On the sixth floor of the hotel there is a privileged place for resting and eating, the Roof Garden, with 50 seats and a panoramic view over the old part of Havana and the bay.
If you are looking for a nice place to hang around then you have to try its roof terrace. It is one of the highest buildings in Havana so you can enjoy excellent views of the Old Town and the entrance of Havana's Harbour.
Are you still wondering which hotel in Havana to go for? Then I recommend you take a look at Ambos Mundos Hotel. Located on the very heart of the Old Town and being one of the oldest hotels in Havana will make of your stay one to remember and cherish.
