The cruise line

I went on for a cruise trip at Western Caribbean. The cruise line was Carnival Cruise lines and the name of the ship was Carnival Conquest. It was my second Caribbean cruise but for my family, it was their first time experience. We were supposed to board on cruise from New Orleans so we packed our bags and entered a New Orleans hotel a day before. This helped us to take required rest and enjoy New Orleans before we took off sailing.

Our preparation for the Caribbean cruise

Our excitement level was so high that we reached the dock much before the cruise was to start. When we reached there, we saw that Carnival Conquest is unloading the passengers and after that it was prepared for the next trip, where we were supposed to board in.

We were waiting for our chance to get inside the ship and the queue was already rising. The luggage porters told that boarding time would be 10 am. Then we cleared our boarding pass and got the "sail & sign". We showed the necessary papers to the security and then got inside the ship.

Our wait was not exactly over, after getting into the ship. The formalities took two more hours to get completed and by the time the cruise started, it was 12 in the noon. But, we must say that the wait was not boring at all as the cruise started taking our care provided us good food.

Our Experience on Day 1

The total count of the people traveling on the cruise was approximately 3000. Thus, it was evident that why the formalities took so long to get over. We finally got our luggage after checking.

We were desperately looking for our swimming suits and as soon as we got our luggage, we changed and took a plunge into the swimming pool. After whole lot of entertainment and sight seeing, we got on to the dinner table around 8:00 pm and enjoyed a delicious dinner.

Some Great Moments

Our first day of the cruise was quite entertaining but the real fun was waiting for us on Day 2 and Day 3. Our enjoyment level was tremendously high as we took part in several entertaining activities. Some of the memorable activities that we did were working out in the gym, soaking up the sun, casino gambling, took part in lounge trivia and enjoy amazing drinks. Sailing over Mississippi river to the Gulf of Mexico was truly amazing experience.

Remember that you will have quite a few moments of lifetime on the Caribbean cruise. Hence, be sure that you have packed your camera.
