By Neil Maxwell Keys As the boom continues, 2007 is going to be another big year for new cruise ship launches. This is great news for those looking for cruise line employment because there will be a demand for nearly 11,000 new crew members to fill every position imaginable - from cleaners to entertainers to shop staff to bar staff to security to casino to photographers and many more. Heres a look at some of the new cruise ships being launched in 2007 and how many new crewmembers each new ship will need: Carnival Freedom - The 2,974 passenger Carnival Freedom will take her inaugural voyage in February 2007. The 110,000-ton ship will sail the Caribbean. Crew needed: 1,150 Costa Serena - The Costa Serena is scheduled to take her inaugural cruise in May 2007. The 112,000-ton ship will sail the Mediterranean and carry 3,004 passengers. Crew needed: 1,068 Queen Victoria - The Queen Victoria is scheduled to take her inaugural cruise in November 2007. The 90,000-ton ship will sail a combination of European and Caribbean itineraries and carry 2,014 passengers. Crew needed: 900 Orchestra - The Orchestra is scheduled to take her inaugural cruise in spring 2007. The 90,000-ton ship will sail a combination of Mediterranean and Caribbean itineraries and carry 2,550 passengers. Crew needed: 1,100 Norwegian Pearl - The Norwegian Pearl is scheduled to take her inaugural cruise in February 2007. The 93,000-ton ship will sail Caribbean itineraries and carry 2,400 passengers. Crew needed: 1,154 Norwegian Gem - The Norwegian Gem is scheduled to take her inaugural cruise in October 2007. The 93,000-ton ship will sail Caribbean itineraries and carry 2,400 passengers. Crew needed: 1,154 Emerald Princess - The Emerald Princess is scheduled to take her inaugural cruise in March 2007. The 116,000-ton ship will sail Caribbean itineraries and carry 3,100 passengers. Crew needed: 1,200 Liberty of the Seas - The Liberty of the Seas is scheduled to take her inaugural cruise in April 2007. The huge 158,000-ton ship will sail Caribbean itineraries and carry 3,634 passengers. Crew needed: 1,360 If you are looking for a cruise ship job then now is a fantastic time to start your search. With at least nine new cruise ships scheduled to be launched in 2007 in addition to seventeen new cruise ships launched in 2005 and 2006, the prospects are very promising for cruise ship job seekers!
